Introduction: Low grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasms (LAMN) are indolent tumors that lack invasive potential but may present as pseudomyxoma peritonei. Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) significantly improves both overall and recurrence free survival. While systemic chemotherapy is generally considered ineffective for LAMN, little literature is available to support this notion.

Shunt dependence syndrome is a serious long-term complication characterized by symptoms and signs of increased intracranial pressure with normal-sized lateral ventricles after several years of arachnoid cyst-peritoneal shunting. It is easy to misdiagnose and overlook when combined with sinus stenosis, thus delaying treatment. Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) stands as the third most prevalent malignancy globally and is recognized as the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Notably, nearly 50% of individuals diagnosed with CRC ultimately develop metastatic disease, with the peritoneum emerging as the second most frequent site for metastatic spread. Recent advancements in therapeutic frameworks have enhanced both survival rates and quality of life metrics for patients afflicted with colorectal cancer peritoneal metastases (CRCPM).

Recent research has demonstrated that activating the cGAS-STING pathway can enhance interferon production and the activation of T cells. A manganese complex, called TPA-Mn, was developed in this context. The reactive oxygen species (ROS)-sensitive nanoparticles (NPMn) loaded with TPA-Mn are developed.
