Amorphous mesoporous materials are promising as catalysts for processes involving or forming bulk molecules. In a reaction such as acetone condensation to form mesitylene, an effective catalyst should not only have a developed porous structure but also have active centers of acidic and basic types. The sol-gel approach allows one to obtain titanosilicates with such characteristics. This work demonstrates the possibility of controlling their properties by varying the conditions for the synthesis of titanosilicate gels. It has been established that controlling hydrolysis allows one to increase the activity of amorphous mesoporous titanosilicates by 10 times: from acetone conversion of 6% to 60%. It has been shown that the use of titanium acetylacetonate complexes in the synthesis of gels leads to an increase in the content of tetracoordinated Ti in the structure and contributes to an increase in the acidity of titanosilicates. During the condensation of acetone on the obtained mesoporous titanosilicates, high acetone conversion (60-79%) and mesitylene selectivity of up to 83% were achieved.

CY1-4, 9-nitropyridine [2',3':4,5] pyrimido [1,2-α] indole -5,11- dione, is an indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) inhibitor and a poorly water-soluble substance. It is very important to increase the solubility of CY1-4 to improve its bioavailability and therapeutic effect. In this study, the mesoporous silica nano-skeleton carrier material Sylysia was selected as the carrier to load CY1-4, and then the CY1-4 nano-skeleton drug delivery system (MSNM@CY1-4) was prepared by coating the hydrophilic polymer material Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) and the lipid material Distearoylphosphatidyl-ethanolamine-poly(ethylene glycol) (DSPE-PEG) to improve the anti-tumor effect of CY1-4.

Objectives: To identify and map the literature on the current state of pH-triggered strategies for resin-based materials used in direct restorative dentistry, focusing on innovative compounds, their incorporation and evaluation methods, and the main outcomes.
Data And Sources: Through a search across PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, LILACS, Cochrane Library databases, and Google Scholar, this review identified studies pertinent to pH-responsive dental materials, excluding resin-modified glass ionomer cements.
Study Selection: From the 981 records identified, 19 in vitro studies were included, concentrating on resin-based composite resins (50 %), dentin adhesives (25 %), and sealants (25 %).

Mesoporous carriers have gained significant attention for enhancing the solubility and bioavailability of Biopharmaceutics Classification System (BCS) Class II drugs. However, the contribution of mesoporous carriers with varying morphologies to the physical stability of these drugs is not well-defined. In this work, mesoporous carbon nanoparticles (MCN) and hollow carbon mesoporous nanoparticles (HMC) were prepared, while the weakly acidic Indomethacin (IMC) and alkaline Celecoxib (CXB) were incorporated into these carriers in the amorphous state by the solvent evaporation method.

In this study, we investigated the pyrolysis of cellulose, lignin, phenylalanine and textile wool waste using microscale thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and a gram-scale fixed bed reactor. The pyrolysis was conducted at 500 °C and 1 bar N, using Al- and Li-doped mesoporous KIL-2 and ZSM-5 catalysts for comparison. Our results show that amorphous Al-KIL-2 catalyst was the most efficient in producing aromatics from cellulose and lignin.

This paper proposes a method for synthesizing granular ZSM-23 zeolite with a high degree of crystallinity and hierarchical porous structure. This method is based on crystallizing granules composed of powdered ZSM-23 zeolite and a specially prepared amorphous aluminosilicate. It has been shown that these granules have superior mechanical strength compared to granular zeolite-containing materials, which are made from a mixture of ZSM-23 zeolite crystals and AlO.
