Signal drift and hysteresis of flexible piezoresistive sensors pose significant challenges against the widespread applications in emerging fields such as electronic skin, wearable equipment for metaverse and human-AI (artificial intelligence) interfaces. To address the creep and relaxation issues associated with pressure-sensitive materials, a highly stable piezoresistive composite is proposed, using polyamide-imide (PAI) fibers as the matrix and in situ grafted-polymerized polyaniline (PANI) as the semi-conducting layer. The PAI with large rigid fluorenylidene groups exhibits a high glass transition temperature of 372 °C (PAI 5-5), which results in an extremely long relaxation time at room temperature and consequently offers outstanding anti-creep/relaxation performances. The enhancement of PAI-PANI interfacial bonding through in situ grafting improves the sensor reliably. The sensor presents high linear sensitivity of 35.3 kPa over a pressure range of 0.2-20 kPa, outstanding repeatability, and excellent dynamic stability with only a 3.8% signal deviation through ≈10 000 cycles. Real-time visualization of pressure distribution is realized by sensor matrices, which demonstrate the capability of tactile gesture recognition on both flat and curved surfaces. The recognition of sitting postures is achieved by two 12 × 12 matrices facilitated by machine learning, which prompts the potential for the augmentation of smart driving.

In response to the impacts of climate change and the intensity of human activities in the alpine meadow region, there is an urgent need to determine the ecological quality and its drivers in alpine meadow areas. In this paper, Shangri-La was adopted as an example, the spatial and temporal evolution patterns of the ecological quality in Shangri-La were determined in both natural and social dimensions, and the contributions of various driving factors were analyzed. The conclusions are as follows: (1) the natural status index of Shangri-La from 2000 to 2020 generally showed a spatial distribution pattern that decreased from the central townships toward the north and south, and the social pressure index was irregularly distributed in high-value areas and continuously distributed in low-value areas.

Wireless energy-responsive systems provide a foundational platform for powering and operating intelligent devices. However, current electronic systems relying on complex components limit their effective deployment in ambient environment and seamless integration of energy harvesting, storage, sensing, and communication. Here, we disclose a coupling effect of electromagnetic wave absorption and moist-enabled generation on carrier transportation and energy interaction regulated by ionic diode effect.

The smart labels prepared via the casting method and molten 3D printing method have a long heating time at high temperature and a dense network structure, resulting in a decrease in the color response ability of the labels. Therefore, this study uses a nonphase change foam 3D printing method with a shorter heating time to improve the color sensitivity of smart labels. By the pH driving method, the blending and pregelation of sodium alginate (Alg) can extend the drainage time of the interfacial film to the maximum extent, thus further improving the foam stability of egg white protein (EWP) and endowing the interfacial adsorption layer with better flexibility and fluidity.

Intersections are frequently identified as crash hotspots for roadways in major cities, leading to significant human casualties. We propose crash likelihood prediction as an effective strategy to proactively prevent intersection crashes. So far, no reliable models have been developed for intersections that effectively account for the variation in crash types and the cyclical nature of Signal Phasing and Timing (SPaT) and traffic flow.
