Designing highly biocompatible organic semiconducting conjugated polymer dots (Pdots) with bright fluorescence and superior absorption properties in the second near-infrared window (NIR-II: 1000-1700 nm) remains a huge challenge for tumor phototheranostics. In this study, we constructed 4T1 cell membrane-coated -PBTQ4F Pdots (CPdots) with enhanced NIR-II photoacoustic (PA) and fluorescence (FL) imaging capability for NIR-II photothermal therapy (PTT) of breast tumors. Our findings demonstrated that CPdots could specifically target breast tumors, leading to enhanced tumor accumulation after systemic administration in living mice. In addition, CPdots can not only serve as contrast agents for NIR-II PA and FL imaging for improved breast tumor detection but also generate more cytotoxic heat to improve PTT efficacy. Therefore, this pilot study opens an option avenue for developing new NIR-II Pdots with homologous targeting capability for enhanced phototheranostics of breast tumors.

Objectives: Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) are tissue-resident lymphocytes that have vital roles in activating further immune responses. However, due to their tumor-induced diversity, we decided to examine ILCs, T cells, and the associated cytokines in mouse models of breast cancer.

Materials And Methods: 4T1 and MC4-L2 cells were used to induce triple-negative and hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer, respectively.

Autoimmune cerebellar ataxia (ACA) is a cerebellar syndrome induced by autoimmune reactions and its onset is induced by malignant tumors, prodromic infection, and gluten allergy. Its clinical symptoms include gait disorder, limb ataxia, dysarthria, and dysphagia. According to , the diagnosis of ACA is based on the following points: 1.

Background: The rising incidence of breast cancer and its heterogeneity necessitate precise tools for predicting patient prognosis and tailoring personalized treatments. Epigenetic changes play a critical role in breast cancer progression and therapy responses, providing a foundation for prognostic model development.

Methods: We developed the Machine Learning-derived Epigenetic Model (MLEM) to identify prognostic epigenetic gene patterns in breast cancer.

The epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a dynamic transdifferentiation of epithelial cells into mesenchymal cells. EMT programs exhibit great diversity, based primarily on the distinct impact of molecular activities of the EMT transcription factors. Using a panel of cancer cell lines and a series of 71 triple-negative primary breast tumors, we report that the EMT transcription factor ZEB1 modulates site-specific chemical modifications of ribosomal RNA (rRNA).

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among females worldwide and can often be detected at an early stage through breast self-examination (BSE). However, in many developing countries, most cases are diagnosed at advanced stages. This study aimed to assess the knowledge and practice of BSE among women of reproductive age in Saudi Arabia.
