Introduction: Although shim dislocation is one of the post-UKA complications, the repeated shim dislocations early after the operation are rarely reported. Currently, no consensual clinical guideline for the reliable prevention and proper management of this complication has been available.
Case Presentation: Two years ago, a 60s old female patient came to the hospital for treatment due to left knee joint pain for more than 10 years and the failure to release her suffering via conservative treatment. Given the evidence of X-ray (Fig. 1), the patient was diagnosed as left knee medial compartment osteoarthritis and was hospitalized for surgical treatment.
Clinical Discussion: For a mobile platform UKA, whether it is an initial liner dislocation or a re-dislocation, revision to TKA is optimal when the underlying cause of the dislocation cannot be determined or corrected.
Conclusion: Standardized and precise surgical procedures as well as postoperative patient instructions are key factors in avoiding complications.

Athletes in collision sports frequently sustain repetitive head impacts (RHI), which, while not individually severe enough for a clinical mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) diagnosis, can compromise neuronal organization by transferring mechanical energy to the brain. Although numerous studies target athletes with mTBI, there is a lack of longitudinal research on young collision sport participants, highlighting an unaddressed concern regarding cumulative RHI effects on brain microstructures. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the microstructural changes in the brains' of high school rugby players due to repeated head impacts and to establish a correlation between clinical symptoms, cumulative effects of RHI exposure, and changes in the brain's microstructure.

This study evaluated the efficacy of various inorganic materials, biological control agents, organic agricultural materials (OAMs), and essential oils for controlling cucumber powdery mildew (CPM) under greenhouse conditions. Treatments included silicate, bicarbonate, copper sulfate, sulfur-based compounds, KB-401, M27, Bordeaux mixtures, chitosan combined with oxidated copper salt, chitooligosaccharides, and essential oils such as castor and rapeseed oil with lecithin. Results demonstrated that Bordeaux mixtures, particularly Bordeaux Mixture I, and sulfur-based compounds provided the most reliable CPM control among inorganic materials.

Gardenia blue (GB), a widely used plant-derived food color is prepared by reaction of genipin, the aglycone of geniposide, with protein hydrolysate. Recent animal studies investigating GB toxicity have indicated blue coloration in the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys and mesenteric lymph nodes in rodents following dietary administration. This study investigated the uptake and disposition of [C]GB in male and female rats and mice administered 100 or 1000 mg/kg by gavage.

We describe enterovirus epidemiology across 23 adult and family shelters in King County, Washington, USA, during October 2019-May 2021, by using repeated cross-sectional respiratory illness and environmental surveillance and viral genome sequencing. Among 3,281 participants >3 months of age, we identified coxsackievirus A21 (CVA21) in 39 adult residents (3.
