Objective: To assess the agreement of transpulmonary thermodilution (TPTD) and transpulmonary ultrasound dilution (TPUD) against direct measurement of main pulmonary artery flow with an ultrasound transit time flow probe (UTF) over a wide range of conditions in anesthetized cats. Additionally, the trending ability of TPTD, TPUD, and esophageal Doppler ultrasonography (EDU) was evaluated against UTF.

Purpose: Acute fatty liver of pregnancy (AFLP) is a severe complication that can occur in the third trimester or immediately postpartum, characterized by rapid hepatic failure. This study aims to explore the changes in portal vein blood flow velocity and liver function during pregnancy, which may assist in the early diagnosis and management of AFLP.
Methods: This longitudinal study was conducted at a tertiary healthcare center with participants recruited from routine antenatal check-ups.

Hand-held ultrasound devices (HHUD) are increasingly used in routine clinical practice, though they lacked continuous (CW) Doppler capability until recent times. There is limited evidence on the utility of HHUD in assessing aortic stenosis (AS) in real-world settings. Our goal was to validate a new HHUD with CW Doppler assessing AS hemodynamic severity.

Background: Arterial thrombosis is increasingly recognized in children and is most commonly related to the presence of an arterial catheter. Diagnosis and treatment of arterial thrombosis in children varies widely and consists of commonly available anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs. No evidence-based guidelines exist for management strategies of catheter related arterial thrombosis (CAT).

Physical, chemical, biogeochemical and biological data were collected during three visits to ocean observatory station P3, off the coast of South Georgia, during an austral spring bloom. A diverse range of equipment including CTD-rosette, Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), net deployments, marine snow catchers (MSCs), Stand Alone Pump System (SAPS) and PELAGRA Sediment Traps were used to produce a comprehensive, high-quality dataset.
