Objective: Estimating children's target height (TH) plays an important role in diagnosing, evaluating and treating many paediatric endocrinological diseases. However, in many countries, employing Tanner's formula to predict children's final adult height (FAH) is considered misleading. Therefore, this study aimed to re-evaluate the validity of Tanner's formula for predicting the TH of Korean adolescents and young adults and develop a new formula suitable for Korean children.

Objectives: Increased height in patients with acromegaly could be a manifestation of growth hormone (GH) excess before epiphysis closure. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the height of adult patients with GH excess related to mid-parental height (MPH) and population mean and to find whether taller patients with acromegaly come from tall families.
Methods: This is a single-centre, observational study involving 135 consecutive patients with acromegaly diagnosed as adults and no family history of GH excess.

Introduction: Central venous catheter (CVC) placement is commonly performed in children. We aim to develop simple formulas to predict CVC intravascular length to minimise radiation exposure associated with the procedure.
Methods: 124 paediatric patients who received tunnelled neck CVCs and subsequent CT thorax at Hong Kong Children's Hospital from January 2020 to July 2022 were reviewed retrospectively.

Background: Human scalp hair is a validated bio-substrate for monitoring various exposures in childhood including contextual stressors, environmental toxins, prescription or non-prescription drugs. Linear hair growth rates (HGR) are required to accurately interpret hair biomarker concentrations.
Methods: We measured HGR in a prospective cohort of preschool children (N = 266) aged 9-72 months and assessed demographic factors, anthropometrics, and hair protein content (HPC).
