Background: Microglia play significant roles in Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathophysiology. Current evidence suggests microglia may function in both protective and degenerative capacities, which has received little clarity from transcriptionally-characterised phenotypes uncovered from transgenic pathologies alone. BIN1 - the second-most significant risk gene for the development of late-onset AD (LOAD) - is expressed at high levels in neurons, oligodendrocytes and microglia.

Objectives: Compared with first-tier cities in China that are of abundant funds and resources like legions of high-level hospitals, the degree of nurses' disaster nursing preparedness in non-first-tier cities (inland) is relatively lower. For example, nurses' knowledge reserve of specific disasters is not comprehensive enough. And nurses are diffident when it comes to the skills of handling disaster rescue.

This study examines the influence of executives' accounting competence on relationship between goodwill impairment signal and goodwill impairment, considering the perspective of performance compensation commitment. The research employs an empirical research method and utilizes a sample of A-share listed companies in China that have signed performance compensation commitment agreements from 2007 to 2022. I found that the executives' accounting competence weakens the relationship between goodwill impairment signal and goodwill impairment.

Background: Little attention has been paid to the experiences of clinicians and health personnel who provide heroin-assisted treatment (HAT). This study provides the first empirical findings about the clinicians' experiences of providing HAT in the Norwegian context.
Methods: 23 qualitative interviews were conducted with 31 clinicians shortly after HAT clinics opened in Norway's two largest cities: Oslo and Bergen.
