We have investigated following capture reactions: Au(n,g)Au, Cu(n,g)Cu, Sc(n,g)Sc, Ta(n,g)Ta, Ce(n,g)Ce, La(n,g)La, Yb(n,g)Yb, Mn(n,g)Mn, and Pr(n,g)Pr in a standard Cf(s.f.) neutron field. The experimentally derived reaction rates were compared with calculations using state-of-the-art libraries IRDFF-II, ENDF/B-VIII.0, JENDL-5 and JEFF-3.3 performed in MCNP6.2 transport code. The experiment was focused on capture reactions in high energy neutron range. To suppress scattered low energy neutrons, all activation materials were enclosed by a spherical cadmium surface of 30 cm in diameter. Experimentally derived reaction rates of Au(n,g)Au, Cu(n,g)Cu reactions agree with calculations using all state-of-the-art nuclear data libraries. The highest discrepancies were found when evaluating La(n,g)La and Mn(n,g)Mn reactions utilizing all libraries. Experimental reaction rates applying data from the JENDL-5 library agree very well with the results of other reactions except for the Sc(n,g)Sc reaction. Ta(n,g)Ta reaction rate does not agree within uncertainties using any library. The Yb(n,g)Yb reaction rate agrees reasonably well only when performing calculation using JENDL-5 and ENDF/B-VIII.0 libraries, unlike JEFF-3.3 library. Ce(n,g)Ce and Pr(n,g)Pr reaction rates applying JEFF-3.3 and ENDF/B-VIII.0 libraries do not agree within uncertainties.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Ahmed glaucoma valve in pediatric patients with refractory glaucoma.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted across multiple major databases, including PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library of Systematic Reviews, Science Direct, China's National Knowledge Infrastructure, and the Wanfang database. We retrieved studies published before December 2022 that met the inclusion criteria, including clinical controlled trials (randomized controlled trials) and clinical noncontrolled trials (non-randomized controlled trials) on the use of Ahmed glaucoma valve in pediatric patients with refractory glaucoma.

Introduction: The long-term immunogenicity, adverse effects, influencing factors, and protection from booster vaccines remain unclear. Specifically, little is known regarding the humoral immunity and breakthrough infections associated with COVID-19 booster immunization. Therefore, we evaluated the immunogenicity, reactogenicity, influencing factors, and protective effects of the first coronavirus disease booster vaccine 23 months before and after implementation of dynamic zero epidemic control measures among healthcare staff.

Partial oxidation of ethylene over silver catalysts produces more than 30 million metric tons of ethylene oxide (EO) annually. However, the form of active silver surfaces, reactive oxygen species, and dominant pathways of this chemical reaction remains controversial despite decades of research. Here, we use Raman spectroscopy and transient kinetic measurements to demonstrate that higher coverages of peroxide species, present only upon Ag oxide surfaces that form , correlate with greater selectivities to EO.

CRISPR-Cas9 has emerged as a highly effective and customizable genome editing tool, holding significant promise for the treatment of KRAS mutations in lung cancer. In this study, we introduce a novel micelleplex, named C14-PEI, designed to co-deliver Cas9 mRNA and sgRNA efficiently to excise the mutated KRAS allele in lung cancer cells. C14-PEI is synthesised from 1,2-epoxytetradecane and branched PEI 600 Da a ring-opening reaction.

Numerous chemical reactions and most life processes occur in aqueous solutions, where the physical diffusion of small molecules plays a vital role, including solvent water molecules, solute biomolecules, and ions. Conventional methods of measuring diffusion coefficients are often limited by technical complexity, large sample consumption, or significant time cost. Here, we present an optical imaging method to study molecular diffusion by combining stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy with microfluidics: a "Y"-shaped microfluidic channel forming two laminar flows with a stable concentration gradient across the interface.
