Objectives: To describe the clinical profile and compare the long-term outcomes of patients with S-PAN treated with various treatment regimens at our centre in the last 2 decades.

Methods: Data regarding clinical presentation, treatment allocation, relapses and outcomes of patients fulfilling American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 1990 criteria for PAN in the last 2 decades were recorded from electronic medical records. Relapse-free survival and predictors were analysed using KM survival statistics and regression analysis.

The first five years of implementing Missouri's medication first approach to opioid use disorder treatment: Plateaus, regressions, and underbellies of progress.

Introduction: Missouri's Medication First ("MedFirst") approach promotes same-day and long-term low-threshold access to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). Since 2017, Missouri's SAMHSA-funded State Targeted and State Opioid Response (STR/SOR) grants have supported MedFirst services (both medical and psychosocial) for uninsured individuals with opioid use disorder at state-contracted treatment programs. Though MedFirst demonstrated early success, results - with attention to possible racial disparities - must be revisited after five years of implementation.

Electronic address:

Plastic waste that ends up in the deep sea is becoming an increasing concern. However, it remains unclear whether there is any microflora capable of degrading plastic within this vast ecosystem. In this study, we investigated the bacterial communities associated with different types of plastic-polyamide-nylon 4, 6 (PA), polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polystyrene (PS)-after one year of in situ incubation in the pelagic deep sea of the Western Pacific.

There is currently no commercial vaccine available against bovine tuberculosis (bTB). Mycobacterium bovis is the primary causative agent of bTB and is closely related to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the pathogen responsible for human TB. Despite their limitations, mouse models are invaluable in early vaccine development due to their genetic diversity, cost-effectiveness, and the availability of research tools.
