Liujunzi decoction (LJZD) is commonly used to treat hepatitis B virus (HBV), though its active ingredients and mechanisms are not fully known. This study identified core targets and active components of LJZD for treating hepatitis B (HB) through network pharmacology, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulation. Screening from databases yielded 533 active components, 2619 targets for LJZD, and 2910 for HB, with 891 intersecting targets. STRING and CytoHubba analyses identified AR and VDR as core targets, with key pathways including PI3K-Akt and MAPK. The findings clarify LJZD's multicomponent, multitarget mechanisms, supporting its clinical application for HB treatment.

The seed coat plays a pivotal role in seed development and germination, acting as a protective barrier and mediating interac-tions with the external environment. Traditional histochemical techniques and analytical methods have provided valuable insights into seed coat composition and function. However, these methods often suffer from limitations such as indirect chemical signatures and lack of spatial resolution.

Introduction: Postpartum dairy cows are susceptible to negative energy balance caused by decreased feed intake and the initiation of lactation. Sijunzi San, a famous Chinese traditional herbal formulation, can promote gastrointestinal digestion and absorption and improve disorders of intestinal microbiota. Therefore, we hypothesized that Sijunzi San might alleviate negative energy balance in postpartum dairy cows by modulating the structure of the rumen microbiota and enhancing its fermentation capacity.

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), which differentiate from tissue-resident macrophages, are recognized for their ability to influence cancer progression and metastasis. However, the specific role of Kupffer cells (KCs), the intrinsic macrophages of the liver, in the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unclear. In this study, we describe a novel mechanism by which exosomes derived from HCC cells induce KCs to transition into TAMs, thereby facilitating the metastasis of HCC in an IL6-JAK1-ACAP4 axis-dependent manner.

In recent years, the use of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the treatment of cancer has received widespread attention. Treatment of tumors using TCM can effectively reduce the side effects of anti-tumor drugs, meanwhile to improve the treatment efficacy of patients. However, most of the active ingredients in TCM, such as saponins, alkaloids, flavonoids, volatile oils, etc.

Purpose: One of the main goals of an in-hospital drug formulary (in-HDF) is to modulate hospitalized patients' drug utilization. Theoretically, however, in-HDFs could also have an impact on out-of-hospital prescriptions in several ways, including discharged patients taking chronic medications that were initiated during hospitalization, hospital physicians prescribing to outpatients as if in-HDFs were equally applicable to the latter ("spillover effect"), and primary care physicians subsequently not changing such prescriptions ("induced prescription"). The aim of this study was thus to conduct a systematic review of papers that studied the impact of changes to in-HDF on out-of-hospital prescriptions.
