Introduction: Accuracy and user experience of dental diagnosis for a patient with cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD) using immersive virtual reality (VR) and cone-beam computed tomography multiplanar reconstruction methods were evaluated.
Methods: Dental students (n = 40) were randomly assigned to VR or MP groups. VR participants manipulated and visualized the rendered 3-dimensional model using VR hardware and software.

We examined data from Naval Sea Systems Command grant project N0463A-12-C-001, "Hypercapnia: cognitive effects and monitoring", with the objective of validating or repudiating heart rate variability (HRV) as a warning sign of cognitive impairment from diving gas narcosis or oxygen toxicity. We compared HRV feature scores to their temporally corresponding cognitive outcomes under normal and narcotizing conditions to identify specific HRV features associated with cognitive changes. N0463A-12-C-001 was conducted between 17 September 2013 and 29 January 2016 and employed NASA's multi-attribute task battery (MATB-II) flight simulator to examine the independent effects of CO, N, and O partial pressure on diver performance at simulated depths up to 61 msw (200 fsw).

Introduction: The ASME (stands for Auditory Stream segregation Multiclass ERP) paradigm is proposed and used for an auditory brain-computer interface (BCI). In this paradigm, a sequence of sounds that are perceived as multiple auditory streams are presented simultaneously, and each stream is an oddball sequence. The users are requested to focus selectively on deviant stimuli in one of the streams, and the target of the user attention is detected by decoding event-related potentials (ERPs).

: University students experience ≈ 9 h of sitting/day, which may support interventions like active desks. University students ( = 24) Method: Randomized crossover trial aimed to compare effects of sitting (SED), low and moderate-intensity cycling desks (CD; CD) concurrent to an academic task (30-minute video + written exam). Selective visual attention (Tobii Glasses 2) was measured throughout the intervention, and workload (NASA-TLX) and anxiety (POMS-SF) were assessed before and after the video and post-exam.
