Lung cancer is one of the most lethal tumors in the world with a 5-year overall survival rate of less than 20%, mainly including lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Tumor microenvironment (TME) has become a new research focus in the treatment of lung cancer. The TME is heterogeneous in composition and consists of cellular components, growth factors, proteases, and extracellular matrix. The various cellular components exert a different role in apoptosis, metastasis, or proliferation of lung cancer cells through different pathways, thus contributing to the treatment of adenocarcinoma and potentially facilitating novel therapeutic methods. This review summarizes the research progress on different cellular components with cell-cell interactions in the TME of LUAD, along with their corresponding drug candidates, suggesting that targeting cellular components in the TME of LUAD holds great promise for future theraputic development.

Background: Convergent evidence indicates that deficits in the endosomal recycling pathway underlies pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). SORL1 encodes the retromer-associated receptor SORLA that plays an essential role in recycling of AD-associated cargos such as the amyloid precursor protein and the glutamatergic AMPA receptor. Importantly, loss of function pathogenic SORL1 variants are associated with AD.

Background: Anethum graveolans commonly known as Dill is an herb from celery family displaying anti-oxidant benefits. The present study focused on the potential of Anethum graveolans as a multifunctional curative remedy for AD treatment.
Method: Hexane (H) and ethyl acetate (EA) extracts of Dill were prepared and subjected to GC-MS for identification of important bioactive components.
Background: A 73-year-old female with a 3 year history of Alzheimer's disease was treated within the protocol of The Alzheimer's Autism and Cognitive Impairment Stem Cell Treatment Study (ACIST), an IRB approved clinical study registered with clinicaltrials.gov NCT03724136.
Method: The procedure consists of bone marrow aspiration, cell separation using an FDA cleared class 2 device, and intravenous and intranasal administration of the stem cell fraction.

Background: Modernizing the remote patient monitoring (RPM) infrastructure in Indonesia has historically been limited by the unmet need of access to internet connectivity. New advancements made possible by Starlink and the internet of things (IoT) for RPM present new opportunities to connect people separated by geography and diverse cultural variations which includes over 700 languages and dialects. Alzheimer's disease has increased by 87% from 2019 to 2022 and similar challenges in the United States apply to Indonesia; the cost of care, nurse shortage, and large aging population.
