Dyes can seriously harm human health because they linger or break down in the environment and find their way into drinking water through the water cycle. Examples of the most important interactions between MOFs and dyes are provided, and an effort is made to comprehend how surface charge and size compatibility affect the adsorption process. The methods for incorporating functionalized Ce-MOF into electrospun nanofibers made of polyvinyl alcohol and chitosan to create functionalized cerium metal organic framework nanofiber membranes (FCCP nanofiber membranes) are presented in this paper.

Conventional fluorescent probes with weak fluorescence signals and aggregation-caused quenching effect limits in biomarkers detection, thus requiring many labeled target molecules to combine their output to achieve higher signal-to noise. Here, we harness a "immune-sandwich" based affinity sensor with development of ultrabright aggregation-induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) microspheres as signal reporter. The fabricated sensor can simultaneously permit triple detection formats by naked eye, spectrum, and computer vision counting (termed "NeSCV sensor").

Background The complex surgical anatomy and intricate structural arrangement of the thyroid region pose significant challenges for surgeons in identifying the parathyroids and recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) during thyroid surgeries. Therefore, it is crucial to develop techniques that enhance the identification of these structures and reduce complications during thyroidectomies. Objective This study intends to assess the efficacy and diagnostic value of Methylene Blue dye and its usefulness in identifying, conserving and minimizing injury to parathyroid glands and recurrent laryngeal nerve during thyroidectomies.

Molecular fluorescence-guided surgery has shown promise for tumor margin delineation but is limited by its depth profiling capability. Interestingly, most fluorophores, either clinically approved or in clinical trials, can also be used as photoacoustic contrast agents, yet their use is limited due to the low light fluence permitted for clinical use and the limited sensitivity of current photoacoustic imaging systems. There is therefore an urgent unmet need to establish methods for enhancing contrast in molecular targeted PA imaging which could potentially complement and overcome limitations in molecular fluorescence guided therapies.

In the present study, arginine-glycine-aspartic acid peptide (RGD) surface functionalized liposomes (Lips) were formulated for the concomitant targeted delivery of two antineoplastic drugs, namely curcumin (Cur) and 5-fluorouracil (5FU) to breast cancer cells. The Lips' measured size values where 50-100 nm by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and 169 ± 10.2 nm by dynamic light scattering (DLS), which fall within the desired range required for drug delivery purposes.
