. Maternal evacuation-the transfer of women from remote communities to urban hospitals for childbirth-negatively affects many Indigenous Peoples in Canada. A working group of perinatal service providers in Montreal sought to enhance cultural safety in a high-risk obstetrical unit serving evacuee Indigenous families. This article describes co-design, implementation, and evaluation of short-term cultural safety interventions with Indigenous stakeholders. Indigenous families and their non-Indigenous service providers displayed their recommendations for culturally safe birth using fuzzy cognitive mapping (FCMs). Joyce's Principle-a framework for securing culturally safe healthcare for Indigenous Peoples-guided their implementation. Four high-priority FCM recommendations included an Indigenous-led cultural safety training for hospital staff. Third party evaluation showed a positive influence on cultural safety knowledge and actions. . Health services designed with Indigenous stakeholders in accordance with Joyce's Principle have the potential to enhance cultural safety of maternal evacuation.

Background: Sickle cell disease (SCD) and β-thalassemia patients with elevated gamma globin (HBG1/G2) levels exhibit mild or no symptoms. To recapitulate this natural phenomenon, the most coveted gene therapy approach is to edit the regulatory sequences of HBG1/G2 to reactivate them. By editing more than one regulatory sequence in the HBG promoter, the production of fetal hemoglobin (HbF) can be significantly increased.

Objectives: Although patient safety has received a lot of emphasis in medicine and nursing, data regarding patient safety perception in dentistry are limited, particularly among dental students. Given the increasing risk of safety hazards, curriculum developers need evidence to guide their implementation in undergraduate studies. This study aimed to determine patient safety culture among undergraduate dental students in Pakistan.

An innovative integrated three-dimensional (3D) bioprinted gastric microtissue electrochemical biosensor was developed in this study for the detection of allergen ovalbumin (OVA). In this system, OVA triggers the release of histamine from gastric microtissue, which then undergoes a redox reaction on the electrode surface, leading to an increase in the peak current. Gelatin methacrylate hydrogel serves as a scaffold for the 3D culture of RBL-2H3 and PC-12 cells for partially restoring allergic reactions in the human body in vitro.

Controlling Listeria monocytogenes and its associated biofilms in the food industry requires various disinfection techniques, including physical, chemical, and biological treatments. Biocides, owing to their ease of use, cost-effectiveness, dissolvability in water, and efficacy against a wide range of microorganisms, are frequently selected options. Nonetheless, concerns have been raised about their efficacy in controlling L.
