Grazing is a significant anthropogenic disturbance to grasslands, impacting their function and composition, and affecting carbon budgets and greenhouse gas emissions. However, accurate evaluations of grazing impacts are limited by the absence of long-term high-resolution grazing intensity data (i.e., the number of livestock per unit area). This study utilized census livestock data and a satellite-based vegetation index to develop the first Long-term High-resolution Grazing Intensity (LHGI) dataset of grassland in seven pastoral provinces in western China from 1980 to 2022. The LHGI dataset effectively captured spatial variations in grazing intensity, with validation at 73 sites showing a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.78. The county-level validation showed an averaged R values of 0.73 ± 0.03 from 1980 to 2022. This dataset serves as a vital resource for estimating grassland carbon cycling and livestock system CH emissions, as well as contributing to grassland management.

The use of ectoparasiticides is a major concern in the control of parasites. In this study, we examined the trends and patterns of veterinary medicines use comparing between a high-risk epidemiological zone (HRZ) and a low-risk epidemiological zone (LRZ) for ectoparasites over a four-year period (2017-2020) at country level data. The objective of this study was to analyze the patterns of ectoparasiticide use in Uruguayan cattle, using the Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical Classification System for Veterinary Drugs (ATCvet) and dose indicators to consider regional variations in the animal population and production intensity.

An urgent problem in the agricultural science of livestock production is the adequate feeding of the queens of farm animals, in particular sheep kept on year-round pasture, especially in the second half of pregnancy and the first half of lactation. These periods are the most stressful, since the uterus does not receive enough necessary nutrients for the normal functioning of the body, embryonic and post-embryonic development of the offspring. In this regard, the purpose of our research was to increase the usefulness of the diet queens by carrying out additional feeding crushed barley with the inclusion of a mineral supplement developed taking into account the chemical composition of feed in Kazakhstan.

3D mixed perovskites have achieved substantial success in boosting solar cell efficiency, but the complicated perovskite crystal formation pathway remains mysterious. Here we present detailed crystallization kinetics of mixed perovskites FAMAPb(IBr), where FA is formamidinium and MA is methylammonium, with the addition of Cs to form a triple cation perovskite (3-CAT), in a comparison with the perovskite building block MAPbI (MAPI) via static grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering (GIWAXS) and micro-diffraction measurements. Spin-coated films produced α-perovskite peaks with no PbI or δ-intermediate phases, which was a promising result for the 3-CAT perovskite from micro-diffraction measurements.
