We introduce the community to the remarkable fact that two significant discoveries in the field of organic photoswitches are associated to the Rubizhne (Rubezhnoe) branch of the Research Institute of Organic Intermediates and Dyes during the last century. The institute in Rubizhne was a place where researchers of various nationalities carried out studies of organic dyes for printing and textiles. These efforts resulted in the discoveries of photoswitchable hemithioindigos by M. A. Mostoslavskii and peri-aryloxyquinones by Yu. E. Gerasimenko. Herein, based on the available literature, we reconstruct the circumstances surrounding these outstanding findings and highlight the unique role of the Rubizhne institute as a research center. Furthermore, we demonstrate the impact of the results of the Rubizhne researchers on the field of photoswitchable molecules.

Methods: Randomized open-label trial in 204 adults hospitalized with non-critical COVID-19 who received for 14 days in addition to standard of care (SOC) degalactosylated bovine glycoproteins formulations of either MAF capsules (MAF group) or M capsules (M group) or SOC only (control group).
Results: Median recovery time when patients did not require supplemental oxygen was 6 days in both study groups compared to 9 days in the control (MAF vs.

Neonatal screening (NBS) was initiated in Europe during the 1960s with the screening for phenylketonuria. The panel of screened disorders ("conditions") then gradually expanded, with a boost in the late 1990s with the introduction of tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS), making it possible to screen for 40-50 conditions using a single blood spot. The most recent additions to screening programmes (screening for cystic fibrosis, severe combined immunodeficiency and spinal muscular atrophy) were assisted by or realised through the introduction of molecular technologies.

Fluorine is one of the most widespread and necessary microelements for the body of animals and humans, which is necessary in a clearly limited amount. Different concentrations of fluorine can affect the state of lipid peroxidation, as well as the functional state of the microsomes of liver hepatocytes. The studies were carried out on mature Wistar rats weighing 180-220 g.

Objective: The aim: This study aims to develop and implement a complex of pregravid preparation based on endogenous melatonin level, development of oxidative stress and violation of apoptosis regulation in women with tubal-peritoneal infertility.
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: We have examined 100 women of reproductive age, including 65 women with tubal-peritoneal infertility treated by ART. All studied women were defined levels of endogenous melatonin, oxidative status and level of apoptosis in the endometrium and in follicular fluid (infertile women only).
