Paediatric tibial shaft fractures are commonly treated nonoperatively and followed-up in the clinic setting. Loss of position has traditionally been managed with wedging of the cast or admission and manipulation in the operaing theatre. The authors present a technique to aid in the wedging of plasters for paediatric tibia and forearm fractures that reduces time requirement, hospital costs and emotional distress on the part of the patient and family.

Introduction: A crowd crush can lead to respiratory arrest and result in multiple mass cardiac arrests (MCAs), which are often classified as Black Tag in disaster triage. Recently, many laypersons have been commonly trained in compression-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) without ventilation support in various communities. This study aims to describe the characteristics of bystander CPR administered and the outcomes of MCAs during the Itaewon crowd crush incident.

Background: Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy has become the most popular weight loss surgery currently, but it inevitably leaves multiple small scars in the abdomen. Although the appearance of single-incision laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy achieve better cosmetic results, it may lead to postoperative complications such as umbilical hernia and umbilical infection. The author has developed a new surgical approach that can compensate for these deficiencies, which we called needlescopic laparoscope sleeve gastrectomy (NLSG).

Background: Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death globally for people aged 5-29 years, with 90% of mortality occurring in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The STABLE (Slashing Two-wheeled Accidents by Leveraging Eyecare) trial was designed to determine whether providing spectacles could reduce risk among young myopic motorcycle users in Vietnam.
Methods: This investigator-masked, stepped-wedge, cluster randomised naturalistic driving trial will recruit 625 students aged 18-23 years, driving ≥ 50 km/week, with ≥ 1-year driving experience and using motorcycles as their primary means of transport, in 25 clusters of 25 students in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Introduction: The ability to recognize emotions is essential for social cognition, and its impairment can affect social interactions, contributing to loneliness and the worsening of issues in individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). This study aims to investigate the ability to recognize emotional facial expressions in MCI individuals compared to healthy elderly and young individuals.
Method: We evaluated 27 MCI individuals, 31 healthy elderly, and 29 healthy young participants using two tasks: one with static facial expressions (photographs) and another with dynamic ones (video clips).
