Background: Little is known about the role of D-dimer (DD) on the prognosis of patients undergoing coronary endarterectomy (CE) combined with coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
Methods: A total of 371 patients undergoing CE with CABG between January 2018 and July 2022 were retrospectively enrolled. The primary endpoint was the perioperative major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE).

Perioperative management of antiplatelet therapy involves a delicate balancing of the risk of periprocedural blood loss with the cardiovascular and thrombotic risk to the patient. Due to the unique nature of neurosurgery, perioperative bleeding may have devastating consequences and cause major morbidity and mortality. Background: Intraoperative hypotension is very common during surgery and is linked to major organ dysfunction and mortality. Current perioperative blood pressure management is largely based on universal blood pressure thresholds ranging from a mean arterial pressure of 60-70 mmHg. However, the effectiveness of this conventional management remains unproven in prospective randomized trials.

Objective: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) clinical pathways have demonstrated improved perioperative outcomes after major surgery. However, its adoption within vascular surgery has been limited. In this study, we examined the impact of an ERAS protocol with multimodal anesthesia on open abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair by comparing early outcomes before and after its implementation.
