Importance: Outcomes in patients with diabetes after fractional flow reserve (FFR)-guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using current-generation drug-eluting stents (DES) compared with coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) are unknown.
Objectives: To investigate the relative treatment effect of PCI vs CABG according to diabetes status with respect to major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) at 3 years and to evaluate the impact of the SYNTAX score.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This is a prespecified subgroup analysis of the FAME (Fractional Flow Reserve vs Angiography for Multivessel Evaluation) 3 trial, an investigator-initiated, randomized clinical trial conducted at 48 centers worldwide.

Background: Despite multiple techniques, portal vein (PV) inflow reconstruction during living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) for patients with biliary atresia (BA) and small-diameter PV remains a challenge. The use of PV interposition grafts has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy to mitigate complications and reinterventions.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective multi-center cohort study of patients under 3 years of age (n=85) undergoing LDLT for biliary atresia using PV interposition grafts.

Background: "Stepwise provisional stenting" is the most adopted approach for percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) in bifurcation lesions. During these procedures, side-branch (SB) may deserve treatment, but the best ballooning technique is still undetermined.
Objectives: To compare the stent configurations obtained by two SB ballooning sequences after the main vessel (MV) stent implantation: proximal-optimization-technique (POT)+kissing-balloon-inflation+final POT (PKP) versus POT+isolated-SB-dilation+final POT (PSP).

Background: Severe in-stent restenosis (ISR) following the implantation of drug-eluting stent (DES) can lead to recurrent angina pectoris or even acute myocardial infarction, thereby necessitating target lesion revascularization (TLR). Prior studies have confirmed the correlation between the monocyte to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (MHR) and ISR after DES implantation. The potential of MHR to predict TLR following DES implantation remains an area of ongoing research and may have significant clinical implications.

Transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA) involves the buildup of transthyretin protein in the heart muscle in the form of amyloid fibrils, which can affect heart structure and function. Common ECG findings of ATTR-CA include low QRS voltage and a pseudo-myocardial infarction (MI) pattern, defined as pathological Q waves or QS complexes in two consecutive leads without a history of MI or echocardiographic evidence of akinetic areas. Here, we present a case of ATTR-CA in a very elderly patient, in whom pathological Q waves on ECG were true indicators of a prior inferior MI.
