Aims: We measured the association between prescribed stimulant medications and overdose among individuals receiving opioid agonist therapy (OAT) for opioid use disorder.
Design: Retrospective cohort study using the British Columbia Provincial Overdose Cohort, a linked administrative database.
Setting: We used data from British Columbia, Canada, from January 2015 through February 2020.

We evaluated a couple-based intervention targeting human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) care needs of women, with the option to support HIV-related needs of male partners. Adult women with HIV adherence difficulties in a monogamous relationship with a male partner for ≥6 months were recruited in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Twenty couples were randomized (1:1) to either START Together, a five-session manualized behavioral intervention, or treatment as usual, adherence counseling referral.

Contradictory results for the association between metformin intake and changes in cognitive function have been reported. We attempted to overview systematic reviews and meta-analyses showing the role of metformin, as mono or combination therapy, in cognitive performance alterations among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and to determine the quality of the evidence as well. To find the English-written reviews, a literature search was conducted on PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Cochrane Library, Trip, and Google Scholar by May 1, 2023.

Introduction: While cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) remains a highly effective psychotherapy approach for managing Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD), its potential is hindered by workforce shortages and access barriers. In response to these challenges, Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iCBT) has emerged as an innovative solution that integrates the core CBT structure with technology. In iCBT, educational materials, therapist communication and progress dashboards can be centralized in a digital format, and delivered in a self-guided, therapist-guided or blended approach.
