In forensic handwriting analysis, it is crucial to understand the relative frequencies of findings relevant to the specific author, especially when using statistical methods. These are factored into the likelihoods used to determine the probabilities for the different authorship hypotheses. However, if ad hoc writings are included in the comparison materials, the representation of a comparison writer's habits can be distorted. An overrepresentation of certain creation time points can be avoided by treating ad hoc series of comparison writing samples as internally homogeneous agglomerates, incorporating only a single value per series into the average relative frequency of a given finding for a comparison writer. Additionally, the proposed approach produces finding counts largely independent of the length of the handwriting sample, which has a positive impact on the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the expert evaluation.

The therapeutic window of antibody drug-conjugates (ADC) remains challenging due to safety issues such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) observed with specific deruxtecan-based ADCs. To avoid ILD, we designed M9140 by conjugating the maleimide-containing hydrophilic β-glucuronide linker to exatecan and our anti-CEACAM5 (CarcinoEmbryonic Antigen-related Cell Adhesion Molecule 5) specific antibody. Following repeated iv-infusion at 3 to 30 mg/kg of M9140 every 3 weeks, the pathological findings obtained in cynomolgus monkeys were confined to gastrointestinal and hematolymphoid tissues and resembled the toxicity of exatecan.

Objective: This paper evaluates the accuracy of C-reactive protein (CRP), leukocyte count, and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) for diagnosing tubo-ovarian abscess (TOA) and assessing the cost-effectiveness of different treatment regimens for pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), with and without TOA.
Method: A retrospective cohort study was conducted between January 1, 2003, and December 30, 2021, including women aged 13-80 years diagnosed with PID. The analysis focused on the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of different treatment regimens.

Background: Awareness of the characteristics of glial fibrillary acidic protein autoantibody (GFAP-IgG) associated myelitis facilitates early diagnosis and treatment.
