Tuberculosis, caused by , is a widely spread disease complex affecting multiple organs. It is a type of communicable disease disproportionately affecting low and middle-income countries. The imaging modality of choice for pulmonary tuberculosis is computed tomography, and for brain lesions, it is a contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging study. This report presents the case of a 73-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with tuberculosis on radiography and was started anti-tubercular treatment for the same and later developed multiple tuberculomas. This report showcases the imaging findings and emphasizes the need for timely and undisrupted treatment for tuberculosis management to prevent further complications like brain tuberculomas as developed in our case.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) Building and Strengthening Infection Control Strategies (TB BASICS) aimed to achieve improvements in TB infection prevention and control (IPC) through structured training and mentorship.
Methods: TB BASICS was implemented in six Chinese provinces from 2017-2019. Standardized, facility-based risk assessments tailored to inpatient, laboratory, and outpatient departments were conducted quarterly for 18 months.

Acetohydroxy acid synthase (AHAS) is a key enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids, which is indispensable for the survival and growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Aim to discover new AHAS inhibitors from natural products, here we performed computer assistant target-based screening for Mtb-AHAS inhibitors using Discovery Studio on TCMSP and SELLECK libraries. Tetracycline analogs from the minocycline family have recently shown promise for the treatment of non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections. This commentary argues for critical programme change in three overarching themes relevant to the Irish bTB eradication programme, if eradication is to be successful: (1) Limiting infection in cattle.
