The Department of the Air Force performs universal antibody serology testing for hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs) and hepatitis A immunoglobulin G (IgG anti-HAV) among enlisted recruits presenting to basic military training (BMT) at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Lackland. These results, along with previous vaccination records, if available at the time of accession, guide HBV and HAV vaccination during BMT. Data from January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023, in the electronic health record, MHS-GENESIS, was used for this analysis. This analysis shows a much higher prevalence of HAV antibodies compared to HBV in the trainee population at JBSA-Lackland during 2023.

Panax ginseng is an important medicinal plant in China and is classified into two types: cultivated ginseng (CFCG) and mountain-cultivated ginseng (MCG). The two types of genetic varieties are the same, but the growth environments and management practices are different, resulting in substantial differences in their taproot morphology. Currently, there is a paucity of research on the internal mechanisms that regulate the phenotypic differences between cultivated ginseng and mountain-cultivated ginseng.

Liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) is a universal mechanism essential for maintaining cellular integrity and function in microorganisms, facilitating the organization of biomolecules into dynamic compartments. Although extensively studied in mammalian cells, research on LLPS formation and regulation in microorganisms remains limited. This review integrates insights from diverse studies exploring LLPS across microorganisms.
