A Cordial Introduction to Double Scaled SYK.

Rep Prog Phys

January 2025

SISSA, via Bonomea 265, 34136 Trieste, Trieste, 34136, ITALY.

We review recent progress regarding the double scaled Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model and other p-local quantum mechanical random Hamiltonians. These models exhibit an expansion using chord diagrams, which can be solved by combinatorial methods. We describe exact results in these models, including their spectrum, correlation functions, and Lyapunov exponent.

Glass short fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (GSFRTPs) are a cost-effective alternative to other short fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (SFRTPs). Their excellent mechanical properties make them a suitable material for components that require rigidity and light weight in widely diverse fields, including transportation and office automation equipment. The melt-mixing process is used to shorten glass fibers.

Department of Electromechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Macau, Avenida da Universidade, Taipa, Macau, China.

With advancements in small-scale research fields, precision manipulation has become crucial for interacting with small objects. As research progresses, the demand for higher precision in manipulation has led to the emergence of ultrahigh-precision engineering (UHPE), which exhibits significant potential for various applications. Traditional rigid-body manipulators suffer from issues like backlash and friction, limiting their effectiveness at smaller-scale applications.

The time-course changes in postural control variability between neck pain and asymptomatic dental students.

Sci Rep

December 2024

Neuromuscular Research Lab, Interdisciplinary Centre for the study of Human Performance (CIPER), Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon, 1499-002, Oeiras, Portugal.

Changes in postural control associated with clinical practice or specific conditions such as the presence of neck pain remain unexplored in dental students. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the time-course changes in postural control complexity among dental students enrolled in clinical practice, comparing those with and without neck pain. We used an online Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire for group allocation and center of pressure (CoP) oscillations with a tri-axial Bertec force plate.

Background: The European cross-border electronic prescription (CBeP) was first introduced in Estonia and Finland. The CBeP service is gradually being implemented across Europe, prompting a need for practical studies to assess its benefits and potential shortcomings.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate Estonian and Finnish pharmacists' experiences with patient identification, personal data protection and safe use of medications with CBeP, as well as main advantages and areas of development of CBeP.
