Over the past few decades, many studies have been conducted to explore the link between tinnitus and lipid metabolism, yielding inconsistent results. In our current study, we compared the prevalence of various lipid metabolism abnormalities in patients with chronic subjective idiopathic tinnitus (CSIT) to the official prevalence data of dyslipidaemia in the general adult Hungarian population. To counteract the distorting effect of the co-increase in both conditions with age, we also examined this relationship by age groups.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and progressive liver disease are 2 of the most significant global health concerns, and they have alarming and ever-increasing prevalence. A growing body of literature has demonstrated a potential multilateral link between gut microbiome dysbiosis and the development and progression of the above-mentioned conditions. Modulation of gut microbial composition from the norm is due to changes in diet allied with external factors such as age, genetics, and environmental changes.

The prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is steadily increasing worldwide in an alarming fashion. Importantly, poor glycemic control is associated with development of various health sequalae's due to glucolipotoxicity, oxidative stress and increased inflammatory cytokines. The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of glycemic control on the relative abundance of inflammatory markers in patients with controlled and uncontrolled T2DM, and to test their association with the glycemic status in diabetic patients in Jordan.

However, little is known about how auditory dispatch alerts operationally aid in the recognition and physical response of priority dispatch communications. This research aims to determine if a modification in radio alerting procedures will elicit a reduction in chute times for first responders.
