: To explore the clinical value of miR-193a-5p in neonatal acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and its role in ARDS cell model . : RT-qPCR was utilized to detect miR-193a-5p level. Correlation analysis was implemented to assess the correlation between miR-193a-5p and clinical indicators (IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α, LUS).

However, post-transplant pulmonary complications remain a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) are essential for the early detection of pulmonary dysfunction, yet their application in pediatric HSCT recipients has yielded inconsistent results.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn recent years, our clinical practice as paediatric pulmonologists has focused on refining strategies to optimise pulmonary function tests (PFTs) for preschool children, particularly those aged as young as 2 years and 5 months. This viewpoint reflects on our experience conducting over 7000 spirometry and impulse oscillometry (IOS) tests, sharing practical insights into achieving high success rates with young children. We emphasise the importance of creating a child-friendly, minimally stimulating environment, tailored communication using familiar and engaging language, and leveraging gamification and positive reinforcement.

Introduction: Maternal infections such as chorioamnionitis could impact fetal lung development by altering cell proliferation and apoptosis. Chorioamnionitis favors the multiple pleiotropic cytokines production such as LIF (leukemia inhibitory factor) and an inflammation-related protein p53. The cytokine production can lead to lung tissue damage and lung disease development.
