Bisphenols, particularly bisphenol A (BPA), are among the most thoroughly investigated endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). BPA was the first synthetic estrogen to be identified, exerting its estrogenic effects through interaction with human estrogen receptors (ERs). The aim of the present narrative review is to summarize the most recent literature regarding the adverse effects of bisphenols on female fertility and pregnancy outcomes.

Chemerin, an adipokine implicated in inflammatory, metabolic, and adipogenic processes, has been detected in high serum concentration in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and seems to play a role in PCOS pathogenesis. Moreover, at present, no comprehensive and critical document is available in the literature on this topic. The aim of the current study was to comprehensively review the latest available data to confirm the evidence about the association between chemerin and PCOS, highlighting its potential role as an upcoming biomarker and therapeutic target.

Background: Endometrial proliferative lesions (EPLs) encompass endometrial hyperplasia (EH) and endometrial carcinoma (EC). Atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH) is associated with an elevated risk of progression to EC. Patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) exhibit higher serum levels of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and a correspondingly increased incidence of EPLs.

Acephate is an organophosphate foliar and soil insecticide that is used worldwide. In this study, the transgenerational ovarian developmental toxicity caused by acephate, along with its in utero reprogramming mechanisms, were explored. Thirty female virgin Wistar albino rats were randomly assigned to three groups: one control group and two acephate treatment groups.
