Objective The objective of this study is to compare patient-reported outcome measures using the Catquest Questionnaire in patients undergoing phacoemulsification (Phaco) versus manual small-incision cataract surgery (MSICS). Materials and methods This descriptive cross-sectional study included patients aged 40 years and older with cataracts classified as nuclear sclerosis (NS) grade 3 or higher. Demographic details were recorded and a comprehensive ophthalmological exam was done.

Background Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, progressive, disabling disease associated with a high rate of infection, evidence of chronic inflammation, and a high mortality rate. Abnormalities of serum cytokines and changes in the activity of inflammatory cells were associated with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS-RR). This study aims to introduce new inflammatory ratios derived from hematological and lipid indices as discriminators of T-helper (Th)-1/Th-2 activity in RR-MS.

Introduction: Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by muscle stiffness, bradykinesia, and balance disorders, significantly impairing the quality of life for affected patients. While motion pose estimation and gait analysis can aid in early diagnosis and timely intervention, clinical practice currently lacks objective and accurate tools for gait analysis.
Methods: This study proposes a multi-level 3D pose estimation framework for PD patients, integrating monocular video with Transformer and Graph Convolutional Network (GCN) techniques.
RNA-Seq analysis has become a routine task in numerous genomic research labs, driven by the reduced cost of bulk RNA sequencing experiments. These generate billions of reads that require accurate, efficient, effective, and reproducible analysis. But the time required for comprehensive analysis remains a bottleneck.

Research efforts are increasingly directed towards the development of biodegradable polymers derived from renewable agricultural resources. Polymer blends, which combine multiple polymers, offer enhanced properties such as ductility and toughness while being more cost-effective compared to the development of specialized copolymers. This study examines nine binary and four ternary blends of polylactic acid (PLA), poly(butylene succinate--adipate) (PBSA), and polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA).
