Objectives:  The people of ancient age appealed to sanctuaries of different gods and goddesses they believed to have healing powers and consecrated anatomical votive offerings representing their sick or healed organs. Male genital organ votives were also present among these votives. In this article, male genital organ votive offerings presented to gods and goddesses were examined and the votives giving information about the diseases they indicated were revealed in contemporary medicine.

Background: Urethrocutaneous (UC) fistulae are common complications after hypospadias surgery and they have been a serious problem for surgeons since the repair was first attempted. We present the results of our multicentre retrospective study for repairing UC fistulae using the Patio ("preserve the tract and turn it inside out") repair described by Malone.

Materials And Methods: A total of 16 boys (Eschweiler 2, Lingen 4, Reading 10) at the ages of 1-10 years were treated for UC fistulae.

Background: Although staged repair for reconstructing severe hypospadias is more popular, various one-stage repairs have been attempted. Koyanagi repair (parameatal-based and fully extended circumferential foreskin flap urethroplasty) has enabled correction of severe hypospadias in one stage. However, its un-acceptably high incidence of complications has initiated a series of technical modifications, including the "yoke" repair.
