We present a genome assembly from an individual female (the common awl robberfly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Asilidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 365.5 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.63 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 12,046 protein-coding genes.
