Introduction: This study aimed to determine autoverification rules for routine glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) analysis based on high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) principle. Laboratory information system (LIS) and Bio-Rad D-100 Advisor software (Bio-Rad, Hercules, USA) with graphics recognition function were carriers for the autoverification system.
Materials And Methods: A total of 105,126 HbA1c results, including 98,249 HbA1c matching fast plasma glucose (FPG) results of real-world data from May 2019 to June 2020, were collected to determine autoverification rules including flags, delta checks, reporting limits, and logical rules. The validation database was composed of 48,045 HbA1c results and 41,083 matching FPG results. Autoverification passing rate and the reduction of turnaround time (TAT) were evaluated.
Results: Four autoverification systems (A, B, C, D) were established by two types of delta check rules, 28 flags, one reporting limits, and two kinds of logical rules. The autoverification passing rates were 80.6%, 78.8%, 83.7%, and 81.3%, and the average time saved in TAT were 117.5 min, 116.7 min, 121.1 min, and 121.7 min, respectively.
Conclusions: Autoverification system C was the optimal one. Application of distribution of FPG corresponding to HbA1c groups had better performance as logical rules. Established HbA1c autoverifcation system shortened the auditing report time and improved work efficiency.

Introduction: The neural substrates of reasoning, a cognitive ability we use constantly in daily life, are still unclear. Reasoning can be divided into two types according to how the inference process works and the certainty of the conclusions. In deductive reasoning, certain conclusions are drawn from premises by applying the rules of logic.

Campus sexual violence complaints involving students might seem easy to record and report, but university campuses in North America have a culture of secrecy and tend to focus on neoliberal approaches. In this paper, I trace the genealogy of a sexual violence policy from an unnamed university to argue that ruling relations make the current provincially mandated stand-alone sexual violence policies into a performative tool that silences expert knowledges, coordinates institutional practices towards a particular type of sexual violence prevention, and re-inforces a broader neoliberal logic in higher education. I explore my argument in the following three sections: the social organization of the policy and prevention campaign, the rules and regulations of the policy, and the neoliberalism of the current sexual violence discourse.

Chimpanzees excel at inference tasks which require that they search for a single food item from partial information. Yet, when presented with 2-item tasks which test the same inference operation, chimpanzees show a consistent breakdown in performance. Here we test a diverse zoo-housed cohort (n = 24) comprising all 4 great ape species under the classic 4-cup 2-item task, previously administered to children and chimpanzees, and a modified task administered to baboons.

To accurately identify occupational health and safety hazards in different industries with distinct characteristics, a comprehensive occupational ergonomics assessment scale was developed by integrating the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) evaluation framework, the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and the Ovako Working Posture Analysing System (OWAS) . Between May 2023 and May 2024, based on the proportional reasoning method and segmented function method, the algorithm logic of RULA and REBA was aligned, and the evaluation rules for the revision content of the innovation scale were inferred using the method of proportion reasoning. Twenty postures were randomly selected for correlation verification.

Organic semiconductor single crystals (OSSCs), which possess the inherent merits of long-range order, low defect density, high mobility, structural tunability and good flexibility, have garnered significant attention in the organic optoelectronic community. Past decades have witnessed the explosive growth of OSSCs. Despite numerous conceptual demonstrations, OSSCs remain in the early stages of implementation for applications that require high integration and multifunctionality.
