In the last years, it has been proved that some viruses are able to re-structure chromatin organization and alter the epigenomic landscape of the host genome. In addition, they are able to affect the physical mechanisms shaping chromatin 3D structure, with a consequent impact on gene activity. Here, we investigate with polymer physics genome re-organization of the host genome upon SARS-CoV-2 viral infection and how it can impact structural variability within the population of single-cell chromatin configurations.

Background And Purpose: The interaction between language and other cognitive networks in patients harboring brain tumors is poorly understood. We studied the modification of the cognitive control network (CCN) induced by brain tumors and its participation in language reorganization. We hypothesized that patients with brain tumors and reorganized language would show modification of the CCN compared to patients who remain left dominant.

The orientation of the head during the acquisition of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is crucial for accurate cephalometric measurements. However, involuntary head movements during the scan can result in misaligned images. This study presents a method to correct the natural head position (NHP) in CBCT skull images after acquisition.

As the name implies, structure-based drug design requires confidence in the holo complex structure. The ability to clarify which protein conformation to use when ambiguity arises would be incredibly useful. We present a large scale validation of the computational method Protein Reorganization Free Energy Perturbation (PReorg-FEP) and demonstrate its quantitative accuracy in selecting the correct protein conformation among candidate models in apo or ligand induced states for 14 different systems.
