Waste rubber bark abundant in phenolics can be used to produce an adsorbent for the enrichment and determination of tetracycline. FeO magnetic nanoparticles (FeO MNPs) coated with naturally extracted phenolics from waste rubber bark were synthesized for the first time by ultrasound combined with a continuous flow approach. The production of FeO MNPs with effective contact surface areas (45.3 m g) was employed as a novel attractive sorbent in magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) to selectively preconcentrate oxytetracycline, tetracycline, chlortetracycline, and doxycycline before HPLC-UV analysis. This MSPE-HPLC exhibited wide linear ranges (14.0-260.0 μg kg), with low limits of detection (10.0 μg kg) and quantitation (14.0-20.0 μg kg), and was successfully applied to quantify tetracycline residues in honey samples, with recoveries ranging from 81.3 % to 117.9 %. This method offers a potential alternative for determining tetracycline in food with a high enrichment factor, high precision, and more effective accuracy, selectivity, and sensitivity.

The present study aims to examine the effect of 4 h of continuous sitting on cerebral endothelial function, which is a crucial component of cerebral blood flow regulation. We hypothesized that 4 h of sitting may impair cerebral endothelial function similarly to how it affects lower limb vasculature. Thirteen young, healthy participants were instructed to remain seated for 4 h without moving their lower limbs.

A 69-year-old man with chest pain was diagnosed with acute type B aortic dissection with the entry tear located at distal arch and a distal aortic arch aneurysm. Therefore, we performed debranching thoracic endovascular aortic repair 2 weeks after type B aortic dissection onset. First, the graft was anastomosed to bilateral axillary arteries.

Employing free-running laser/envelope detection-based millimeter wave (mmWave) signal generation/detection at remote radio heads (RRHs)/user equipment (UE) offers a cost-effective solution for seamlessly integrating existing intensity modulation-direct detection (IM-DD)-dominated optical access networks and wireless networks. Such fiber-wireless convergence enables a continuous flow of signals with varying characteristics between the baseband unit (BBU) and UE across fiber and wireless network segments without the need for optical-electrical-optical (O-E-O) conversions and digital signal processing (DSP) at intermediate nodes. In this paper, we extensively investigate the performance of such a fiber-wireless converged access network employing free-running laser/envelope detection-based mmWave generation/detection in an IM-DD-based 1.

Background: We aimed to evaluate and compare the rise in the temperature for the safety of the kidney parenchyma on firing the Holmium: Yttrium Aluminium Garnet laser and the Thulium Fiber Laser during laser lithotripsy in humans.

Method: We included 30 pre-stented patients with renal calculi undergoing Retrograde intra-renal surgery. They were randomized into two groups - 15 patients underwent holmium laser lithotripsy and 15 patients underwent TFL laser lithotripsy.

Background: Continuous electroacupuncture pre-conditioning (EPRC) and post-conditioning (EPOC) effectively improve motor dysfunction after acute cerebral ischemia, but they require multiple treatments. Recently, electroacupuncture per-conditioning (EPEC) has demonstrated neuroprotective effects, indicating that this single-session intervention has short-term efficacy.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of EPEC at Huantiao (GB30) on motor recovery in acute cerebral ischemia mice.
