Many clearing methods achieve high transparency by removing lipid components from tissues, which damages microstructure and limits their application in lipid research. As for methods which preserve lipid, it is difficult to balance transparency, fluorescence preservation and clearing speed. In this study, we propose a rapid water-based clearing method that is fluorescence-friendly and preserves lipid components. FLUID allows for preservation of endogenous fluorescence over 60 days. It shows negligible tissue distortion and is compatible with various types of fluorescent labeling and tissue staining methods. High quality imaging of human brain tissue and compatibility with pathological staining demonstrated the potential of our method for three-dimensional (3D) biopsy and clinical pathological diagnosis.

The restricted mean survival time has been widely used in the field of medical research because of its clear physical and simple clinical interpretation. In this paper, we propose an efficient estimation that incorporates the auxiliary restricted mean survival information into the estimation of the proportional hazard (PH) model. Compared to conventional models that do not incorporate available auxiliary information, the proposed method improves efficiency in estimating regression parameters by utilizing the double empirical likelihood method.

Purpose: Due to the lack of clear screening guidelines for different populations, identify strategies for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in the outpatient population are unclear, a large number of potential OSA outpatients have not been identified in time. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the applicability and accuracy of artificial intelligence sleep screening in outpatients and to provide a reference for OSA screening in different populations.
Methods: A type IV wearable artificial intelligence sleep monitoring (AISM) device was used to screen adults in the sleep clinic of the Sleep Medical Center for OSA screening, and the general demographic data of the patients were collected.
