Objective: To describe the gross and ultrasound anatomy of the parasacral region and an ultrasound-guided greater ischiatic notch (GIN) plane approach aimed at staining the lumbosacral trunk (LST) in canine cadavers. To evaluate if the ultrasound-guided GIN plane approach is non-inferior to the previously described ultrasound-guided parasacral approach at staining the LST.
Study Design: Prospective, randomized, non-inferiority experimental anatomic study.

Background: Tuberculous (TBE) and malignant (MPE) pleural effusions present with similar lymphocytic exudates. As TBE is an inflammatory and hypersensitivity process, we hypothesized that echographic septation may be more prevalent in TBE than in MPE, potentially serving as a good clinical predictor for TBE.
Methods: A total of 183 TBE and 266 MPE patients were recruited retrospectively.
Introduction: Thyroid nodules are distressing pathology because of the fear of malignant tumor. It is a common condition but often overlooked by patients. Surgery has an essential place in the treatment, but its performance is correlated with ultrasound data.

Background: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common skin cancer, and it can be easily treated by surgery or by various other physical modalities and topical chemotherapy. For metastatic, locally advanced BCC and for cancers that cannot be removed by surgery, systemic drugs known as hedgehog pathway blocker are used. High-frequency ultrasound (HFUS) is a non- invasive technique used in diagnosis of some skin cancers.

Purpose: To determine the informative value of ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) with A-scan for assessment of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of eyelid tumors less than 5 mm in size.
Material And Methods: The study included 25 patients (25 eyes) with eyelid tumors less than 5 mm in size. In addition to standard ophthalmic examination, complex ultrasound diagnostics including B-scan, Color Doppler imaging and UBM with A-scan were performed.
