Background: This study aims to synthesise recent findings on the outcomes of common femoral endarterectomy (CFE) with profundoplasty, evaluating the efficacy, complications, and predictors of long-term success in patients undergoing this procedure.
Patients And Methods: This is a descriptive retrospective study assessing the outcomes of CFE with profundoplasty. All patients with chronic limb-threatening ischaemia (CLTI) who attended and underwent CFE with profundoplasty with or without iliac intervention at Glan Clwyd Hospital (Wales, United Kingdom) were studied.

Introduction: Deep Vein Arterialization (DVA) is an innovative surgical technique aimed at enhancing blood flow in compromised limbs facing amputation. Maintenance of flow post-revascularization is crucial to limb salvage. As this is a new technique, no standardized thromboprophylaxis regime is currently established, and post-procedure thromboprophylaxis is at the discretion of the proceduralist.

Background: Multidisciplinary care with vascular surgery and plastic surgery is essential for lower extremity free flap (LEFF) success in the chronic wound population with diabetes and peripheral vascular disease. There is a lack of understanding on performing targeted direct endovascular reperfusion on a vessel that will be used as the flap recipient. Our study compares outcomes of patients who received targeted revascularization (TR) to the recipient vessel for LEFF anastomosis versus nontargeted revascularization (NR) of arterial recipients prior to LEFF.

Introduction: Initial surgical revascularization has a recognized primary role in patients with critical limb-threatening ischemia with a high-quality great saphenous vein for conduit. However, approximately one-third of lower extremity vein grafts develop lesions threatening graft patency. Traditional treatments have limitations, highlighting the need for innovative solutions.

Background: Chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) is the most severe form of peripheral artery disease (PAD). Patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) have a faster progression of PAD and a fourfold increased risk of CLTI compared to patients without DM. Epidural spinal cord stimulation (SCS) has been used as a method to improve microcirculation, relieve ischemic pain and reduce the number of amputations in patients with PAD.
