Metasurfaces offer a powerful tool to realize label-free and highly sensitive Raman spectroscopy. Embedding metasurfaces into microfluidic channels is promising to establish a new characterizing platform for microfluids. In this Letter, we present a highly stable method for improving the Raman scattering intensity of biological microfluids by using a microfluidic chip embedded with a plasmonic metasurface.

Compartmentalization is crucial for control over complex biological cascade reactions. In microgels, the formation of discrete compartments allows for simultaneous uptake and orthogonal release of physicochemically distinct drugs, among others. However, many state-of-the-art approaches yielding compartmentalized microgels require the use of specific, though not always biocompatible, components and temperatures well above the physiological range, which may damage possible biological cargo.

Electrochemical CO reduction is crucial in combatting climate change and advancing sustainable energy practices by converting CO into valuable chemicals and fuels, thereby reducing atmospheric CO levels and enabling the storage and utilization of renewable energy from intermittent sources like solar and wind. The selection of electrode materials and platform design plays a critical role in enhancing reaction efficiency and product selectivity during CO reduction. Various metals, both in their solid forms and coated over substrates, have been used in electrochemical CORR.

Rice salt tolerance is highly anticipated to meet global demand in response to decreasing farmland and soil salinization. Therefore, dissecting the genetic loci controlling salt tolerance in rice for improving productivity is of utmost importance. Here, we evaluated six salt-tolerance-related traits of a biparental mapping population comprising 280 F2 rice individuals (Oryza sativa L.

WOX transcription factors (TFs) are plant specific transcription regulatory factors that have a momentous role in maintaining plant growth and development and responding to abiotic stress. In this study, a total of 13 PdbWOX genes were identified. qRT-PCR analyses showed that 13 PdbWOX genes were responsive to salt stress.
