AI Article Synopsis

  • - Apical aneurysm in apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is uncommon and not frequently encountered in clinical settings.
  • - Research has shown that both 18 F-FDG and 18 F-FAPI can demonstrate abnormal uptake in patients with HCM.
  • - The case study highlighted differences in how these two radiotracers—FAPI and FDG—distribute spatially in the context of an apical aneurysm in apical HCM.

Article Abstract

Apical aneurysm in apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a very rare condition in clinical practice. Some studies have reported abnormal uptake of 18 F-FDG and 18 F-FAPI in HCM, respectively. We presented a case of FAPI and FDG imaging in a patient with apical aneurysm in apical HCM, and further analyzed the discrepancy of spatial distribution pattern of these 2 radiotracers.
