The purpose of the present narrative review was to propose a unifying generalized conceptual model of mechanisms and processes in appetite self-regulation (ASR) in childhood. Appetite self-regulation, along with other domains of self-regulation, develops across childhood and contributes to energy intake and balance, diet quality, weight, and therefore long-term health outcomes. There have been efforts to conceptualize and measure components of ASR and associated processes/mechanisms, but, at present, there is no unifying conceptualization of ASR in childhood.

Purpose: While the literature has addressed the implementation of oncofertility care at developed institutions, minimal advice exists for those seeking to build oncofertility programs in limited resource settings (LRS). Our research offers a promising conversation on establishing oncofertility care in such settings from the perspective of a practitioner working to establish care in Latin America. We propose practices that have the potential to significantly improve access to and quality of care in these challenging settings.

Uoc Anestesia e rianimazione, AO San Camillo-Forlanini, Roma.

Coping with the end of life decision making process in ICU, its complexity adds a challenge for the healthcare team: how to report in the medical record the events and reasoning that led to withholding or withdrawing treatments shifting from intensive to palliative care. Each healthcare team must select the best approach for managing the decision-making process and the necessary rules to ensure a correct clinical history narrative, indicating who must write and what has to be written. Taking into account the team organization, the report may be written not necessarily by the ICU director, but also by a staff physician as a spokesperson in the individual case.
