Benralizumab is an anti-IL-5 receptor alpha monoclonal antibody that induces the near-complete depletion of eosinophils. This study aimed to evaluate the long-term safety and effectiveness of benralizumab in patients with severe eosinophilic asthma (SEA) over an extended 48-month follow-up period, offering one of the longest real-world perspectives available. This was a single-arm, retrospective, observational, multicenter study involving 123 SEA patients treated with benralizumab at a dosage of 30 mg every 4 weeks for the first 3 doses and then every 8 weeks.

The results of kidney transplantation (KTx) in elderly patients are deteriorated by more frequent use of organs procured from older or extended criteria donors (ECDs). To eliminate the influence of donor factors on the transplantation results, the pair analysis method was applied. The study aimed to assess the survival, during long-term follow-up after transplantation, of recipients and transplanted kidneys, graft function, and factors influencing survival in recipients aged 60 years and older (≥60) compared to recipients aged less than 60 years (<60) who received a kidney from the same brain death donor (DBD).

Objective: Ewing sarcoma (EWS) of the mediastinum is extremely rare, with only a few cases reported in the literature. We aimed to gain a better understanding of primary mediastinal EWS, describing patients treated within two international, multicenter, prospective, randomized EWS trials.
Methods: Data from patients with primary mediastinal EWS were retrieved from the database of the EURO-E.

Giant hepatic hemangiomas are challenging to manage, requiring effective therapeutic approaches. Transarterial bleomycin-lipiodol embolization (TACE) has shown promise as a treatment option, yet predictive factors for its success are not well defined. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of TACE for giant hepatic hemangiomas and identify factors influencing treatment outcomes.

Objective: This randomized controlled trial aimed to compare the efficacy of negative-pressure wound therapy with advanced moist wound therapy in managing diabetic foot ulcers.
Methods: A total of 450 participants with diabetic foot ulcers were randomized to receive either negative-pressure wound therapy (n = 204) or advanced moist wound therapy (n = 246) over 18 months. The primary outcome was complete ulcer closure, with secondary outcomes including time to closure, wound size reduction, infection rates, recurrence, and amputation rates.
