Cervical radiculopathies are commonly treated with nerve root injections. This study presents a novel ultrasound (US)-guided cervical transforaminal injection technique using a curved transducer to enhance visualization of the anterior wall of the superior articular process and achieve successful epidural spread of injection. A 56-year-old patient with chronic C6 radiculopathy was treated using our US-guided approach with a combination of 5% dextrose and vitamin B12, leading to significant improvement in symptoms.

Fuzzy modelling and cost optimization of fault-tolerant system with service interruption.

Department of Mathematics, Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi, New Delhi 110019, India. Electronic address:

Redundancy and maintainability-supported fault-tolerant machining systems are used in many industries to achieve pre-specified reliability and system capability. In this investigation, a non-Markov model for the machining system has been developed by involving the concepts of server vacation, server breakdown, and reboot process. The server may fail and undergo primary repair which may be unsuccessful in recovering the server.

In this study, we raised the following question: "Does metamorphosis, being a "reboot" of all systems of the organism, erase the changes that occurred at earlier stages of insect development?" To answer this question, we investigated several behavioral, metabolic and neuroendocrine parameters in Drosophila melanogaster imago that had undergone heat stress at the 3rd larval instar (32 °C, 48 h). We discovered that larval stress negatively affected feeding and locomotor behavior, as well as total lipid content in adult flies. At the same time, these flies demonstrated a considerable increase in carbohydrate content and expression level of insulin/insulin-like growth factor signaling (IIS) pathway genes, dfoxo, dilp6 and dInR.

Augmented reality enables the wearer to see both their physical environment and virtual objects. Holograms could allow 3D video of providers to be transmitted to distant sites, allowing patients to interact with virtual providers as if they are in the same physical space. Our aim was to determine if Tele-Stroke augmented with Holo-Stroke, compared with Tele-Stroke alone, could improve satisfaction and perception of immersion for the patient.
