This study assessed stress distribution, maximum stress values and fatigue life of experimentally designed NiTi rotary files with different cross-sectional geometry and pitch length using finite element analysis (FEA). Four cross-sectional shapes (Convex triangle, S-shaped, Triple helix and Concave triangle) and two pitch lengths (2 mm and 3 mm) were tested in simulated root canals with curvatures of 30°, 45° and 60°. The FEA results indicated that convex triangle and triple helix geometries exhibited lower stress values compared to the S-shaped and concave triangle designs. Increasing the canal curvature angle resulted in higher stress values, with the S-shaped instrument showing the most significant increase (up to 12%). Instruments with shorter pitch lengths showed more even stress distribution enhancing fatigue life. The maximum stress was concentrated 5-8 mm from the tip, varying across cutting edges, with S-shaped sections experiencing the lowest forces but higher stress due to lower moments of inertia.

Structural design usually adopts uniform temperature action. However, during the actual construction of the structure, the temperature field acting on the structure is inhomogeneous. Therefore, the simulation of the construction of statically indeterminate steel structures considering only the uniform temperature field cannot truly reflect the temperature action after structural molding and the evolution of the stress performance of the temporary stress system of structural construction.

This study presents the design and validation of a numerical method based on an AI-driven ROM framework for implementing stress virtual sensing. By leveraging Reduced-Order Models (ROMs), the research aims to develop a virtual stress transducer capable of the real-time monitoring of mechanical stresses in mechanical components previously analyzed with high-resolution FEM simulations under a wide range of multiple load scenarios. The ROM is constructed through neural networks trained on Finite Element Method (FEM) outputs from multiple scenarios, resulting in a simplified yet highly accurate model that can be easily implemented digitally.

This study examines the enhancement of the mechanical strength of polymer resins through reinforcement with synthetic (glass) and natural (hemp, jute) fibers, using the TRIZ-ARIZ methodology to optimize composite design for improved mechanical properties, sustainability, and economic efficiency. Mechanical testing, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were conducted to evaluate the properties of the composite materials. Regarding tensile strength testing, the results showed the following: jute fiber achieved the best results, with a maximum tensile values of 43.

A trend has been established concerning the research and development of various green and biodegradable plastics for multi-purpose applications, aiming to replace petroleum-based plastics. Herein, we report the synthesis of chitosan (CH) films using lemon juice; these were reinforced with NiZnFeO nanoparticles (NiZnFeO NPs) to obtain improved mechanical and barrier properties, facilitating their future application as sustainable, corrosion-resistant coatings for medical instruments. The synthesized NiZnFeO NPs had a crystallite size of ~29 nm.
