The occurrence and progression of breast cancer (BCa) are complex processes involving multiple factors and multiple steps. The tumor microenvironment (TME) plays an important role in this process, but the functions of immune components and stromal components in the TME require further elucidation. In this study, we obtained the RNA-seq data of 1086 patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database.

The loss of natural habitats increases the concentration of circulating glucocorticoids and incurs chronic stress in animals, influencing the immune system, growth, survival, and lifespan of animals inhabiting such areas. In this study, we tested whether great tit () nestlings grown in old-growth unmanaged coniferous forests have longer telomeres than great tit nestlings developing in young managed coniferous forests.

Inflammatory skin diseases comprise a group of skin conditions characterized by damage to skin function due to overactive immune responses. These disorders not only impair the barrier function of the skin but also deteriorate the quality of life and increase the risk of psychiatric issues. Here, a low-modulus phosphatidylserine-exposing microvesicle (deformed PSV, D-PSV) was produced, characterized, and evaluated for its potential therapeutic function against skin diseases.

Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a progressive disease that affects motor neurons, with symptoms usually starting in infancy or early childhood. Recent breakthroughs in treatments targeting SMA have improved both lifespan and quality of life for infants and children with the disease. Given the impact of these treatments, it is essential to develop methods for managing treatment-induced changes in disease characteristics.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a disease with poor prognosis due to diagnostic and therapeutic limitations. We previously identified cystatin A (CSTA) as a PDAC biomarker and have conducted the present study to investigate the antitumor effects of CSTA. PDAC murine models were established with genetically modified PAN02 tumor cell lines to evaluate the antitumor immune response.
