Aim And Background: Direct restorations require skill and time to be performed properly; thus, it is a daily challenge for the pediatric dentist. Adapting techniques proven in adults can provide quick and easy solutions for children. In this case report, we describe the use of the occlusal stamp technique.
Case Description: An 8-year-old girl was diagnosed with dental caries in our dental practice. The treatment of her class I cavity was performed using a resin-modified glass ionomer (RMGI) and an occlusal stamp. The high viscosity of the RMGI and the ingenuity of the occlusal stamp allow for a lifelike occlusal anatomy.
Conclusion: By copying the preoperative shape onto the restorative material, we performed a restorative treatment quickly and effectively. Pediatric dentists can perform biomimetic restorations with natural occlusal morphology using the occlusal stamp technique in a short time.
Clinical Significance: The occlusal stamp is a simple procedure to restore the occlusal anatomy. This technique reduces the working time. The qualitative and quantitative objectives are easily achieved, thanks to this tool.

Objectives of contemporary restorative dentistry include achieving proper tooth structure and minimizing the duration in the dental chair. There is a chance of contamination between the layers when posterior teeth are progressively restored with composite resin. The occlusal stamp technique is a brand-new, cutting-edge way to restore mostly Class I and occasionally Class II restorations with nearly ideal occlusal topography.

The "stamp technique" for posterior composite restoration placements is a relatively simple method for duplicating occlusal anatomy with near perfection. Due to the sensitivity of proprioceptors in the stomatognathic system to pressure, even slight occlusal disparities resulting from direct restorations can cause discomfort for patients. This discomfort often leads patients to adjust to a new habitual occlusal position, potentially leading to significant long-term craniomandibular issues.

Objectives: To evaluate the effects of different stamp materials and restoration depths on the accuracy of direct composite resin restorations using stamp technique.
Methods: Eighty standard resin teeth were divided into four groups based on different stamp materials: flowable composite resin (FR), vinyl polydimethyl siloxane (VPS) for bite registration (VB), VPS for impression (VI) and transparent VPS (TV). Each material group was further divided into two subgroups based on restoration depth (1 and 2 mm; n = 10).

In modern dentistry, restorations that are more aesthetically pleasing have now replaced the amalgam restorations. The "stamp technique" is one of the more recently developed techniques for combining aesthetics and functionality. When caries are visible on radiographs or clinical examinations of teeth with complete marginal ridges and an ideal tooth structure, this method can be used.
