Fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-18 FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) has emerged as a cornerstone in cancer evaluation imaging, with a well-established history spanning several years. This imaging modality, encompassing the examination of the body from the base of the skull to the upper thighs, comprehensively covers the chest and abdominopelvic regions in a singular scan, allowing for a holistic assessment of nearly the entire body, including areas of marginal interest. The inherent advantage of this expansive scan range lies in its potential to unveil unexpected incidental abnormal hypermetabolic areas.

Targeted chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICPi) have expanded the spectrum of therapies for patients with relapsed/refractory (r/r) Hodgkin's disease and significantly improved the proportion of patients with long-term disease control. However, there is no standardized therapeutic option in case of further progression. Recently, we demonstrated that therapy with MEPED (metronomic chemotherapy, everolimus, pioglitazone, etoricoxib, dexamethasone) is highly effective in patients with r/r Hodgkin's disease.

Background: Simultaneous positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a novel hybrid imaging method integrating the advances of morphological tissue characterization of MRI with the pathophysiological insights of PET applications.
Aim: This study evaluated the use of simultaneous 18-FDG PET/MR imaging for characterizing atherosclerotic lesions in lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD).
Methods: Eight patients with symptomatic stenoses of the superficial femoral artery (SFA) under simultaneous acquisition of 18-FDG PET and contrast-enhanced MRI using an integrated whole-body PET/MRI scanner.
