As multimedia service demands rise, radio-over-fiber (RoF) systems necessitate a flexible wireless resource allocation in multi-user scenarios. Optical wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) can meet multi-user application scenarios but has the problems of high hardware cost and complexity. In this Letter, we propose a photonic-aided reconfigurable multichannel vector millimeter-wave (mm-wave) transmission scheme in the RoF system enabled by the digital subcarrier multiplexing (DSCM) technique. The scheme can flexibly adjust the number and frequency spacing of subcarriers as well as the bandwidth and modulation format allocated to each subcarrier, and it can be applied to multi-user scenarios without increasing the cost and complexity of hardware implementation. The off-line experiments verify the system transmission performance with different numbers, bandwidth, and frequency spacing of subcarriers, fully verifying the feasibility of the scheme. Furthermore, the Letter delves into the effects of the subcarrier number, bandwidth, and frequency spacing on overall system performance, highlighting the potential of this scheme for flexible and cost-effective wireless resource allocation in RoF systems.

Background: The WHO considers anemia in pregnancy a severe public health issue when prevalence surpasses 40%. In response, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to examine anemia among pregnant women in Egypt, focusing on its prevalence, determinants, and associated complications.
Methods: We conducted a systematic literature search for studies published between January 1, 2010, and August 18, 2024, to identify studies from Egypt reporting on anemia in pregnant women, including its prevalence, associated determinants, and complications.
Introduction: This report provides prevalence estimates of adult obesity and severe obesity during August 2021-August 2023 by age and sex, as well as obesity prevalence by education level. Trends in the prevalence of adult obesity and severe obesity over the previous 10 years are also shown.
Methods: Data from the August 2021-August 2023 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were used for prevalence estimates, incorporating examination survey sample weights into the analysis and accounting for the survey's complex, multistage probability design.

Current intimate partner violence (IPV) during pregnancy was found to be associated with adverse health outcomes including pregnancy loss, preterm labor, pregnancy complications, hypertension, delivering low birth weight baby, physical injuries and stress. IPV in Ethiopia is considerably high. This study aimed at determining the prevalence of the IPV during the index pregnancy as measured at six weeks postpartum among women in their extended six weeks postpartum period and identify its correlates.

We evaluate global microplastics particle density distribution using field data from 1972 to 2022, made available by the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) NCEI (National Centers for Environmental Information) global marine microplastics database. We resampled the measured microplastics density data from NOAA NCEI into a regularly spaced 1° × 1° grid and applied ordinary block kriging on a 1° × 1° mask map of the global oceans to spatially interpolate the gridded data. Climate data were retrieved from the Climate Data Store of the Copernicus Climate Change Service.
