AI Article Synopsis

  • The study investigates ring structures made up of group 13-15 atoms bonded in a planar tetracoordinate arrangement.
  • It focuses on pentagonal rings where these atoms are connected by bridging elements like Si or Ge.
  • The analysis reveals that only the CHNGe configuration successfully demonstrates true tetracoordination among the eleven systems studied.

Article Abstract

This study examines systems containing planar tetracoordinate group 13-15 atoms (E) within pentagonal CHE rings bridged by Si or Ge atoms. A detailed chemical bonding analysis of eleven candidates shows that true tetracoordination is achieved only in the CHNGe system.
