Introduction: We used habitat radiomics as an innovative tumor biomarker to predict the outcome of neoadjuvant therapy for esophageal cancer.
Methods: This was a two-center retrospective clinical study in which pretreatment CT scans of 112 patients with esophageal cancer treated with neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy and surgery between November 2020 and July 2023 were retrospectively collected from two institutions. For training (n = 85) and external testing (n = 27), patients from both institutions were allocated.

Background: The study aimed to investigate the predictive value of delta-radiomics derived from computed tomography (CT) for pathological complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy (NICT) among patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), helping clinicians determine whether to modify the neoadjuvant treatment strategy, proceed to surgery, or forgo surgery altogether.
Methods: A total of 140 ESCC patients from two institutions (Database 1 = 93; Database 2 = 47) who underwent NICT and surgery were retrospectively included in the study. The training set consisted of patients from Database 1, while the testing set included patients from Database 2.

For patients with resectable locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), the current standard treatment is neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) plus radical surgery. This study aimed to establish a predictive model, based on computed tomography (CT) radiomics features and clinical parameters, to predict sensitivity to nCRT in patients with ESCC pre-treatment. The goal was to provide risk stratification and decision-making recommendations for clinical treatments and offer more valuable information for developing personalized therapies.

Purpose: Systemic immunity is essential for driving therapeutically induced antitumor immune responses, and the spleen may reflect alterations in systemic immunity. This study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of contrast-enhanced CT-based spleen radiomics for progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) who underwent definitive chemoradiotherapy (dCRT). Additionally, we investigated the role of spleen radiomics features and changes in spleen volume in assessing systemic immunity.
