This article revisits W. R. Bion's theory of thinking by highlighting how thinking and linking are attacked. The author's theoretical reflections and clinical vignettes draw attention to the fact that patients may attack the analyst's thinking-function in two particular states: when they experience the analyst as attacking them precisely when the analyst is able to create a link, but one that is too threatening, painful, unsettling and frustrating or in response to the analyst's failure to create the link the patient had been expecting. the analyst deals with and reacts to the complexity of the analytic relationship and to these two kinds of attacks is what will be internalized. In turn, it will affect and the development of a patient's emotional thinking.

Background: Currently, synthetic genomics is a rapidly developing field. Its main tasks, such as the design of synthetic sequences and the assembly of DNA sequences from synthetic oligonucleotides, require specialized software. In this article, we present a program with a graphical interface that allows non-bioinformatics to perform the tasks needed in synthetic genomics.

This study carried out a quantitative structure-activity relationship hazard assessment of the banned pesticides in Nigeria with a view of identifying the dangers posed by these pesticides. Structure-activity relationships (SARs) and quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSARs), which link a compound's chemical structure to its biological activity, can be used to create safer and more effective insecticides, prioritize chemicals for testing, and reduce the number of animal studies necessary throughout the regulatory process. The QSAR hazard assessment of the banned pesticides was carried out on the VEGA software.

Introduction: The present study investigates how autonomy-supportive coaching style influences youth athlete development through psychological resilience and dispositional optimism. Despite growing interest in factors that contribute to athlete development, gaps remain in understanding how coaching approaches interact with psychological traits to foster youth athletes' growth. This study addresses these gaps by proposing a serial mediation model in which autonomy-supportive coaching indirectly enhances athlete development through resilience and optimism.

Background: Recent studies demonstrate a link between corticosteroid injection and surgical complications when procedures occur shortly after steroid administration. These publications focus on single procedures like carpal tunnel release. This study seeks to demonstrate how surgical site infection risk changes across thirteen common elective hand procedures when steroid injection is performed contemporaneously.

Hodological patterning refers to developmental mechanisms that link the location of neurons in the brain or spinal cord to specific axonal trajectories that direct connectivity to synaptic targets either within the central nervous system or in the periphery. In vertebrate motor circuits, hodological patterning has been demonstrated at different levels, from the final motor output of somatic and preganglionic autonomic neurons targeting peripheral motoneurons and ganglion cells, to premotor inputs from spinal and brainstem neuron populations targeting the somatic motoneurons and preganglionic autonomic neurons, to cortical neurons that delegate movement commands to the brainstem and spinal neurons. In many cases molecular profiling reveals potential underlying mechanisms whereby selective gene expression creates the link between location and axon trajectory.
